Thanks to the generosity of Virginia Tech faculty and staff, this year’s 2023 Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign raised more than $380,000. That money will go a long way in supporting local, state, and national charitable partners across our communities.

Of that total, the University Operations Team raised almost $50,000 – or roughly 13 percent of total donations – across our nine units. Additionally, the following units exceeded the senior management area goal set for the campaign: Office of the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Business and Auxiliary Services, Finance, and Human Resources.

Lynsay Belshe, vice president of auxiliary and business services and this year’s CVC honorary chair, said, “It was a great honor to serve as this year’s honorary chair and have the chance to raise awareness and support for this important annual state-wide campaign. I’m also extremely proud of the amount we raised within the University Operations team. Whether it was by payroll deduction, one-time donation, or funds raised from events, our teams took the commitment to serve our communities to heart. Thank you!”

A recap of the full campaign will be published soon in the VT News daily email.
